"The Musical Heritage of Farish Street"
This event will be a retrospective of the musicians that made Farish Street popular. It will discuss their influences, their careers, and the artists they influenced. The two week art and poetry exhibit will spotlight elementary, middle and high school students work, in additional art from local professional artists will also be on display. All winners will be awarded during the Grand Opening on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 6:30pm.
Contest Levels:
Elementary School (1st – 5th)
Middle School (6th – 8th)
High School (9th – 12th)
Entry Deadline:

How NOT to be a Starving Artist
Are you a visual artist, dancer, writer, singer, musician or any other type of creative artist? Do you love your art form? Do you want to learn how to make money with your art form? Then this is the class for you! This workshop will bring the business world to you, the artist, and help you develop an effective plan for making a living with your art form.
Please note: There will be a $10 materials fee which will cover the cost of the workbook. This fee is payable to the instructor.

Small Business 101
Do you have what it takes to start and run your own business? Do you want to empower yourself, your family? Do you have a great idea for a business, but no idea where to start? Get Learn how you need to know in this workshop. This seminar is designed for anyone interested in starting a small business or growing an existing business.

Praise & Worship Dance in the Church
Spend the day learning all about Dance Ministry from the Biblical perspective as well as learning new dance techniques. This class is an exploration of how dance should be used in the church. Participants will learn how to effectively structure their new dance ministry in the church or how to improve their current ministry. In addition, they will gain basic knowledge of proper ballet and lyrical dance techniques. Assistance with choreography and improvisational dance will be provided as well. No dance experience is necessary.
